Quick Overview

This is our Aluminum 1 piece hi-performance driveshaft for 2004-2006 GTOs. There are three versions of the Aluminum 1 piece that we have to offer.

- A 3.5" 800 Horsepower Driveshaft for all of the guys with plenty of power under the hood. This shaft Features the billet aluminum plate so you don't have the go into the rear differential.

- Next up is the all new 550Hp shaft for those with less power. After carefully reviewing the needs of the GTO community, we have realized the need for a shaft with less strength that comes at a good value, and also gives the car that athletic feel we all love.

- Last but certainly not least, is the new 1350 aluminum shaft. Over the past few months, we have been in direct contact with customers and there needs, and we have decided to spread out the drive shafts we make. Different people have different needs.

3.5" 1000 Horsepower Driveshaft: *NEW PRICE* sold with only the Aluminum billet plate but the threaded holes are now Helicoiled!!! The 3.5" aluminum single piece driveshaft is a direct bolt-on system. Most driveshafts available for the GTO platform require the rear flange to removed from the diff. The problem with this is that the differential is a crush collar type, and the preload on the nut sets the pinion depth to make sure the rear gears have the proper engagement. What we have done, is made a 7075-T6 aluminum conversion flange that will bolt directly to the 3 finger flange on the rear, which now has Helicoils in the threaded seacion of the billet plate. This eliminates the need to have a professional set the pinion lash on the differential. Just unbolt the factory 2 piece shaft, install the 1-piece shaft with the included hardware, and head to the track. The only necessary modification is the tip of the rear seatbelt bolt that protrudes into the driveshaft tunnel. It must be ground down to provide adequate clearance for the driveshaft. Changing the shaft in this car provides one of the most noticeable performance enhancements. The car will have better throttle response and have a much smoother overall feel. Not only is it lighter, but the hanger bearing on the factory driveshaft moves up and down violently when the car is being driven hard. This action is dangerous, and it also robs the drive train of power. This shaft is capable of 997lb of torque, based on shock factor of 3.5 . 3.5 " 550HP Driveshaft with Billet Rear Plate: This is the all new 550Hp shaft. After carefully reviewing the needs of the GTO community, we have realized the need for a shaft with less strength that comes at a good value, and also gives the car that athletic feel we all love. The shaft is a 3-1/2 aluminum shaft with a smaller 1310 joint. It has the Performance Dynamic solid joint, which will ensure strength and longevity of the drive train. Our shaft will also come with the signature Billet rear plate that ensures Balance correctness, due to centering on the 16mm pin coming out of the diff, which is ground with the diff bearing journals. The Plate will now have a set of Helicoils in the threaded portion of the plate to ensure you don’t strip out the thread. 3.5" Aluminum Driveshaft with Strange Billet Yoke and 4340 Pinion Flange: This is the new 1350 aluminum shaft. Over the past few months, we have been in direct contact with customers and there needs, and we have decided to spread out the drive shafts we make. Different people have different needs. This shaft will be among the best style shaft you can get for your GTO. It comes equipped with a Strange 1350 yoke, along with our Performance Dynamics solid u-joints. The shaft will also be supplied with a 4340 rear Billet flange mount to eliminate the 3 finger flange from the rear (this will mean opening up the Diff). We have decided to use the flange mount on the rear because in recent testing we have found it to be the most consistent way of mounting a shaft to the pinion. It is balanced on our new high speed balancing machine. If you’re looking for the best shaft available for the GTO/Holden platform, look no further.
