This is our signature 8.8 Rear End Conversion Kit for the Pontiac GTO. After months of putting blood, sweat, and tears into developing this product, we have achieved the performance and durability that has since become standard in the GTO aftermarket. Many competitors have tried to replicate this kit, only to have little or no success. This kit will easily withstand any beating from your engine up to 1000 HP.
The GTO 8.8 Rear End Conversion Kit will allow you to install any independent Ford 8.8 rear differential into a 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO. As you all know, the stock GM rear end in the GTO is a decent unit, but it simply will not withstand high horsepower.We at Hendrix Engineering have designed this bolt in kit, which will allow you to install a 8.8 rear differential from either a 90-97 T-Bird/Cougar (steel case), or a Mustang Cobra (aluminum case; 5 lbs. lighter). These differentials have been abused by Ford Mustang owners for years, easily holding over 900 horsepower, and even seeing 1.3 60 ft. times, without failure. Also, your choice of gears and center sections will make this a great addition to ANY GTO. The kit will include all of the necessary hardware to install your rear end including axles, driveshaft, and all brackets/hardware (you supply the diff).
